New Clips from ‘Savages’ Give a Preview of What’s to Come (VIDEO)

When you're selling dope, chances are you're also living a pretty dope life, considering the booze, money, and extravagant lifestyle. But in Savages, things aren't going so well for the trio who are selling "the best marijuana ever developed" when the cartel decides that they want a share of the pot as well.

In the movie, Blake Lively proves that she's not there just for her legs or sex appeal, because she gets pretty roughed up and manages to make it look believable. Life is idyllic for Laguna Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Johnson), Chon (Kitsch), and their lady love Ophelia (Lively)--until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to move in and demands that the trio partners with them.

Ophelia gets kidnapped and all hell breaks loose as Ben and Chon partner up with dirty DEA agent (Travolta) to wage a seemingly unwinnable war against the all-too powerful cartel that's headed by the merciless Elena (Hayek).

Savages stars Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, and Demian Bichir and hits theaters on July 6th.
