James Harden Immortalized in Terrifying Cake Form

Oklahoma City Thunder star James Harden now has one more delicious honor to add to his resume; he's been made into a cake. Well, his likeness has.

Harden, who was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year, had his head created in cake form by the nice people at Homeland Stores in Oklahoma City. It's really a good representation of Harden, and the detail in the headband, mohawk and beard are really impressive.

No word on whether Harden gets to have his cake or eat it, too.

James Harden Can Give as Good as He Gets (VIDEO)

James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder elbows Metta World Peace
How You Like Them Apples Ron?

Metta World Peace/Ron Artest made news when he said he had no intention of reaching out to James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder prior to the start of the Western Conference Semi-finals between the Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers.

I think this video is evidence that James Harden wasn't concerned at all. He'll just reach out in a way that Ron Artest can understand well. On second thought, maybe Artest would not understand since Harden's elbow actually was unintentional.

The Thunder went on to win this game 77-75 and lead the best of seven series 2-0.

Metta World Peace Went After James Harden Again

Metta World Peace took down James Harden again
Metta Ron Artest Does it Again!

Somehow I missed this last night, but watching a team get blown out like the Lakers did leads to a lot of channel flipping and phone checking. Maybe I was out of the room, but either way I didn't see Metta World Peace getting tangled up with James Harden again.

Harden, who probably still has nightmares over the first time Metta Ron Artest attacked him, was boxing out World Peace. Shockingly, the play became more physical than it needed to be, thanks to Ron-Ron, and ended up with World Peace's arm and elbow near Harden's head and Harden ending up on the ground. It was nothing like the elbow from a few weeks ago, and it wasn't called anything more than a personal foul. Read More » »

Metta World Peace Won’t be Shaking James Harden’s Hand Tonight

Metta World Peace doesn't plan on making any show of remorse tonight when the Lakers take on Oklahoma City in the second round of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs.

In case you don't recall, MWP nearly took James Harden's head off with a vicious elbow in the second to last game of the regular season. Tonight, he returns to the scene of the crime. Not OKC, the elbow happened in L.A. The scene of the crime in this case is the base of Harden's skull. Read More » »

Thunder’s James Harden Wins 6th Man of the Year Award (VIDEO)

Beard Like Harden

There was one thing that was for certain when it came to the regular season awards—Lamar Odom did not have a chance in hell in repeating as the 6th Man of the Year. Maybe Brian Wilson had so much trouble before he got hurt because people were busy fearing another beard.

James Harden of the Oklahoma City ThunderThe guy that did win it many fans did not hear much about till Metta World Peace went all Ron Artest on him a week or so ago. Folks that really follow the league though had no doubt who the 6th Man award should go to this year because they’ve followed his work all season.

For the folks that cast votes there was little doubt that the award should go to Oklahoma City Thunder’s James Harden.

Of the 118 ballots, Harden was first on 115 of them easily running away with the award. The top five vote getters were as follows: Harden (584 points); Louis Williams, Philadelphia 76ers (231 points); Jason Terry, Dallas Mavericks (81 points); Al Harrington, Denver Nuggets (42); Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurs (28).

In just over 31 minutes a game Harden contributed 16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

Peace Out – Ron Artest Suspended Seven Games by NBA

I just can't call him Metta World Peace when he does stuff like what he did to James Harden on Sunday. The old Ron Artest was back in full force, much like the force of the elbow he planted right behind Harden's ear.

So the NBA suspended Ron Artest for seven games. That doesn't seem long enough for a lot of people, especially all of us who have watched Artest become the most suspended player in NBA history. Artest has been suspended for a total of 111 games, with 86 coming from the 'Malice at the Palace' player/fan brawl in 2004.

He got off easy in this one. Read More » »

Metta World Peace Acts Like Ron Artest (VIDEO)

They say you can take the malice out of the palace, but apparently you can't take the Ron Artest out of Metta World Peace.

Metta World Peace was looking to spread something other than peace and love when he was celebrating a dunk late in the second half of a close game with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. In the midst of his exuberance he landed a shot to the head of the Thunder's James Harden that rocked his world to say the least.

Had he stopped there and did nothing else he might have been able to escape an ejection, but when he decided to square off with Serge Ibaka it was clear that Metta needed to find some peace elsewhere.

(For those that are feeling a little nostalgic for some vintage Ron Artest...)
