NBA Commissioner David Stern Not Pleased With Jim Rome Asking if the Lottery is Rigged

Well this is blowing up Twitter right now. Apparently Jim Rome, the radio host who likes to needle his guests once in a while, picked the wrong person to needle in NBA Commissioner David Stern.

I don't have the audio yet, but Rome asked Stern if the NBA Lottery was rigged after New Orleans got the number one pick, which they will presumably use on Kentucky's Anthony Davis. The Hornets are still owned by the NBA, though a sale is pending.

Stern answered back with "Have you stopped beating your wife?" as a way to show what a lousy question he thought it was. That's a pretty solid answer, but he could have just shot back with "Clown question, bro."

Update: Deadspin has the audio.
