If you’ve seen The Force Awakens (which the whole damn world has by now, including obscure treetop-dwelling tribes in the Amazon, who also think Jar Jar Binks is an annoying jabbering asshole), you’ll know a thing or two about Rey. The first of those things being: she’s a techtastic badass.

How many people could bust on in to the Millenium Falcon for the first time and fly it to safety without scratching the damn thing? Not many, that’s how many. Han and his hairy-assed buddy couldn’t even do that most of the time. But Rey can, because she just magically and instantly knows her shit when it comes to technology.

As sad as it is, though, movies are not real life. Actress Daisy Ridley got herself a PS4 recently (A Star Wars limited edition one, natch), and everything went south pretty damn quickly.

At a Facebook Live interview on Monday, Game Spot reports, she was asked if she was as technically able as her character. Her response?

"Last weekend, I got sent a Star Wars PlayStation. I was with my friends and I was like, 'Oh my god, I know what I'm going to do; let me plug in the PlayStation,'" she recalled. "I had no idea how to do it, so I looked online; looked it all up. Plugged it into the thing; it didn't work."

A week later, one of the same buddies visited again, and helped her set up the console:

"She came over again and I was like, 'I wish the PlayStation would work!' And she was like, 'I bet you put it in the wrong socket.' It literally took her two seconds and then it worked," Ridley said. "And I'm like, 'You could have said that last weekend. It proves that I am in no way mechanical or technological."

So there it is. You should never meet your heroes.
