This week has been a roller coaster ride of emotions for geeks everywhere. Along with the back and forth ambiguous Star Wars statements, there has been conflicting reports about an Incredible Hulk movie and The Avengers 2. So, take your asthma medicine and calm down for a sec, nerds. Earlier in the week there was a rumor that the plot of The Avengers 2 would involve the "Planet Hulk" storyline. In that tale of green anger management problems, The Hulk is sent to a deserted planet that isn't deserted and is forced to fight as a gladiator. He later returns to Earth to...well...SMASH! Joss Whedon put the kibosh on those rumors and called them "nonesense" and that there is already a story in place for The Avengers 2. THEN people started talking about a stand-alone Hulk movie with Avengers star Mark Ruffalo coming out possibly before The Avengers 2. That turned out to be BS too. So, what is the fate of the big green dude?

No one knows but the studio at this point. I for one think they shouldn't rush into making a Hulk film until they have a solid script. Those of us that love the Hulk don't want a repeat of the two craptacular movies that came out in the past decade. The first one with Eric Bana was a stinker inexplicably directed by Ang Lee. The second one with Ed Norton was even worse. So, for now we need to wait patiently for The Avengers 2 to see our green friend. Cue Incredible Hulk sad going away music.
