Tarantino has been off our screens now for only 3 years but we already miss him. And even though we've still got another 8 months to wait until his latest fare hits our cinemas just the release of the new poster for Django Unchained is enough to set the pulses racing.
For the uninformed Django will tell the story of the titular character played by Jamie Foxx, a freed slave who learns deadly assassin skills from the hand of Dr. King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz. Schultz is, as you would expect, a dentist turned bounty hunter. Who said that dentists were just stupid doctors?
Having learned the trade of death from the worlds most deadly dentist Foxx then looks to free his wife, played by Kerry Washington, from the hands of Leonardo DiCaprio's evil plantation owner Calvin Candie. Tarantino has been comparing it too Leone's spaghetti westerns but set in the south of American during the Civil War instead.
The rest of the cast for Django Unchained includes Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson (as seen above in make-up for the flick), Sacha Baron Cohen and Don Johnson with the film due to hit our screens on Boxing Day. The poster can be seen below.
It promises to be a bloody belter!
