Nic Cage Travels ‘Between Worlds’ to Contact His Dead Wife… Or Something (VIDEO)

While many Nic Cage fans were hopeful that his recent hits Mom and Dad and Mandy might be the start of a renaissance for the actor, it looks as if the actor's up to his old tricks in his next film, Between Worlds. Rather than continuing down the road of batshit crazy flicks, Cage returns to standard middle of the road fare for this somewhat supernatural thriller.

From the minute he begins slurring his speech during his voiceover narration, you know immediately that the wheels have come off the Nic Cage comeback bandwagon. He plays a trucker, I think, who saves a woman that nearly dies, but when she comes back to life, she's the reincarnation of his dead wife. Or something, who could tell with this muddled mess of a trailer? This looks like some world class horse hockey.

You can add this one to the pile of instantly forgettable Cage efforts like Season of the Witch, Seeking Justice, Trespass, Stolen, Rage, Outcast, Left Behind, Dying of the Light, The Runner, Pay the Ghost, The Trust, Dog Eat Dog, Army of One, Arsenal, The Humanity Bureau, the list literally goes on and on.

The film also has a killer poster that looks like it was thrown together at the last minute...

Between Worlds debuted at September's Fantastic Fest and has no official release date at this time. Don't hold your breath.
