We've still got a few months before Alien's much-awaited prequel, Prometheus, hits the theaters. A viral campaign for the sci-fi movie was launched in early March with the creation of the corporate website of the fictional Weyland Industries and with the release of the official trailer. This was followed shortly by a viral video commemorating the birthday (or rather, the unboxing) of David 8, which is one of Weyland's new android creations.

If you still haven't had your fill of Prometheus yet, then check out this new featurette which offers some behind-the-scenes action with director Ridley Scott and never-before-seen footage from the movie.

Prometheus, which stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, and Charlize Theron, opens on 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters on June 8th.
