After the enormous opening weekend of Captain Marvel, it's no surprise that Marvel wanted to get a new trailer for Avengers: Endgame out there featuring their newest Avenger. Don't expect a whole lot of Carol Danvers in this trailer, however, she really only shows up for the last thirty seconds of the trailer. This is one of those trailers that reminds you of where these characters started and teases where they're headed.
While the death toll at the end of Avengers: Infinity War was substantial, I get the feeling this is going to be much more casualty heavy. Not all of the original Avengers are going to die, but they're going to make quite a big deal out of the ones who do bite it, I'm sure. Most of the characters introduced post Age of Ultron—Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Spidey, Black Panther, etc—are presumed safe in my book, if for no other reason than they've got more sequels coming.
The guys who are on the chopping block now are the OG Cinematic Universe Avengers. I mean, Hawkeye can die finally, right? Be reunited with his family in the great beyond or whatever. I think Cap and Iron Man are also goners. They've been around long enough that this can be a proper send-off for them.
We'll find out for sure when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
