What a sight for sore eyes Mel Gibson is. Maybe I am the only one that feels this way, or maybe I am the only one brave enough to admit it, but looking at a parade of beautiful women can really be brutal at times. Their high cheekbones and thin waists all start to meld together after a while and it becomes hard to discern one woman from the next.

That is why it is so important to have a guy like Mel go down the carpet. His furry face helps to break up that beautiful monotony. He acts as the control so that we can all remember what realistic looking people are actually like.

Traditionally, this role was always played by a woman, but protesters have put the kibosh on that. Apparently, it was too cruel to have a woman satisfy this position. I have yet to hear an explanation as to why it is not cruel to have a man in this role, but it at least gives men a reason for being included. I, for one, would be proud to play the role of the D.U.F.F. A guy should never turn down the opportunity to hang around models, regardless of how insulting it may be.
