True story: several years ago I was over talking some business (twelve pack of Budweiser) at a guy's house when he asked me if I'd like to meet the Suicide Girls, who were just barely beginning to bubble big at the time online. I said sure and asked him when and where, and he said, right now, in my basement. Down the stairs we went to his underground abode level and there in the finished basement were about eight, tattooed and pierced hotties sleeping off a good one in the middle of the day like a pack of day-worn puppies. Yep, there were the Suicide Girls. That was surprising.

Which leads me to the fact that many of you SG-styled girl fans are probably brimming over with joy at the sight of Rooney Mara, all alt-ed out (and nekkid like) for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, opening on December 21. She's definitely going to create quite a stir in a film that at least from the trailer looks all kinds of wicked. And, while some of you will drool over the metalization of topless Rooney, there are many of you who prefer more traditionally hot recent kick-butt leading ladies, so we compiled a little list of some of our favorites from the past few years of cinema-gravy.
