Behold The Tinder Surfing Robot

I've been with my wife since before the whole app dating thing became a thing so I don't know the horrors of using Tinder to find love/sex. But I've heard tell. I have friends who spend every free moment swiping right or left in search of mr. or ms. right now. The one thing that I've gathered from the whole thing is that it is a lonely soul-sucking game of rejection and lust. The worst part is that there is no way to know that the people are who they claim to be. For all you know they are a finger robot. Australian artist Tully Arnot created just such a Tinder surfing robot digit called "Lonely Sculpture". The finger constantly swipes right, therefore seeking a match, with anyone who pops up. The artist says,

"We live our lives between and through these monitors. We are never without a screen. Our embodiment is negotiated through them. We connect, and we disconnect, but we are never disconnected. In traversing multiple realities simultaneously one also traverses multiple identities. However, is a constructed, or re-constructed, identity an authentic one?"

Yeah, dude whatever. This really makes me mad. What if a girl or guy falls for the finger and really wants to make a life with it? Is it OK to tease people with a fake automaton finger? I hope when the robot uprising happens that Arnot is far away from that finger. It's going to be pisseeeed.
