Man, These ‘Doom’ Demon Transformations Are Violent

  I was working in the lab late one night, when my eyes beheld an eerie sight. For my monster from his slab began to rise, and suddenly, to my surprise, he did the mash! He did the monster mash! The monster mash! It was a graveyard smash! 

No, that wasn’t an excerpt from my upcoming autobiography. The government have banned that, knowing what a funky life I’ve led. Instead, I was just trying to prepare your asses for the monster mash-up that Doom has cooked up for us.

By this time, what with the shitstorm of promotastic they’ve been dropping, you probably thought you’d seen enough. Campaign trailers, multiplayer trailers, maps and mode info, all of that good stuff. But id Software will never and can never be stopped from hyping us up, and here they are again.

This latest clip is dubbed Demons, Weapons and Power-Ups, and it’s a hell of a sight. As you’ll know, one of the game’s big innovations is the Demon Rune power-up, which lets you transform into one of the beasts yourself during multiplayer. It is, natch, a tremendously gore-leaky experience. Now we’re getting to take an ogle at said transformations, with the movesets and such that the differing demons are capable of.

I’ll not spoil anything (other than hell-mothereffin’-yeah that’s the BFG), so feel free to hit the video below if you want a look. I sure want a piece of that all-new monster.
