What’s Next For Tim Tebow?

Now that Peyton Manning is in negotiations to be the Denver Broncos' QB, the team is reportedly set to trade the polarizing Tim Tebow. His army of fans would've never stood for it...unless Peyton was his replacement, so yeah, he's toast. So what becomes of young Tebow?

The biggest knocks on Tebow are that he's not a pocket passer, his throwing motion is terrible and, well, that's about it. But those are huge things to deal with. This is the NFL, and you can't win with mechanics like Tebow's. Unless you're Tebow and you figure out a way to win and take your team to the second round of the playoffs.

So where should Tim take his talents? Well, it's not really up to him, but here are some places he might want to get traded to.

The Miami Dolphins - Peyton turned them down, Matt Flynn chose Seattle, and they're supposedly still trying to lure Alex Smith for some reason. Matt Moore took over last year after Chad Henne's shoulder was mangled, and actually played pretty well. Why the Dolphins feel the need to try to get, and probably overpay for, Alex Smith is beyond me.

Tebow played his college ball at the University of Florida, so he's got plenty of fans down there still, and the Dolphins have a striking number of empty seats each week. They just traded away their best receiver, Brandon Marshall, so the passing game isn't a strong point anyway. Why not try to get Tebow just for the buzz factor? 

The San Francisco 49ers - Alex Smith may or may not come back to San Francisco after the 49ers tried to get Manning. Smith has to be feeling a little hurt, since he led the team to the brink of the Super Bowl, only to get rewarded with the team trying to lure a 36-year-old with his neck fused together to take over.

Smith may repay the Niners by going somewhere else, leaving the team looking kind of foolish and without a starting QB. Jim Harbaugh's offense wasn't an overly aerial attack last year (Smith averaged about 200 YPG), and they have a solid backfield, so Tebow could be a good fit there. The NFC West is a rising division, but nothing seems to faze Tebow.

The Jacksonville Jaguars - The place everyone seems to think Tim will end up. New owner Shahid Khan has been quite public with his love for Tebow. Khan also knows Tebow would help fill up the stadium. The Jags drafted Blaine Gabbert last year and made him their starter for most of the season, and while he was okay, the jury is still out on whether Blaine is a franchise QB (same for Tebow).

Tim will, of course, just be happy to get to play somewhere. He's not going to stay in Denver and be mentored by Manning, especially if the Broncos can get some team who needs to fill seats to take him off their hands. So Manningwatch becomes Tebowwatch and the NFL is still the most talked about sport, even during its off-season. It really is good to be the king.
