Vanessa Hudgens has been in touch with her dark side for a long time and I don't think that comes as a surprise to any of us after seeing so many of her dark Instagram posts over the years. This includes posts where she literally tells us that she's a witch..

The actress wants to make it clear that she is much more complex and darker than her High School Musical character and is aiming to show us all more of her mysterious side moving forward.

"It’s definitely taken people a while to understand that I am more than the Gabriella character they fell in love with.”

Vanessa met up with LVR Magazine to talk about her dark side and how she's been working on creepy projects like Eli Roth's VR Haunted House, where we saw her turn from a sexy temptress into an ugly old witch thanks to some special effects makeup.

The actress also spoke about her upcoming project which takes her and her BFF GG Magree out to Salem where she aim to explore their interest in witchcraft. Something tells me Vanessa might end up in the lake of fire and she might not even mind it!

"I thought it would be so cool to bring a camera to Salem and seek people who are more knowledgeable and have a deeper understanding to help remove the stigma behind witchcraft and spirituality. There is so much ancestral trauma buried within it that the only way to heal it is to shine a light on it."

Vanessa was captured by legendary photographer Gilles Bensimon for the new article, which you can read over here. Scroll down for some highlights from the shoot!
