Marvel continues it's dominance of our hearts and minds with their latest show for Netflix, Luke Cage. The story of an African-American with almost limitless strength and invulnerability defending the streets of Harlem premieres September 30 but Netflix released this intense trailer for the show today. It's your classic superhero origin story in that a person finds himself suddenly capable of incredible powers and must decide what to do with them. Will he become a defender of the weak like Daredevil or a vigilante like the Punisher? With a little help from Rosario Dawson, Cage (played by Mike Colter), decides to do the right thing and try and save the neighborhood from some bad dudes. 

I like the Netflix Marvel series like Jessica Jones and Daredevil because they are wonderfully gritty and real. There is no white washing of crime on these shows. They are most definitely not for kids.
