Three games in the NBA Playoffs last night and they all lived up to the hype. The 76ers destroyed the East's number one seed, the Chicago Bulls, who were playing without star Derrick Rose. The Celtics took game two on the road in Atlanta, thanks to Paul Pierce, and Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to a 2-0 lead in their series with the Nuggets.
Chicago looked lost without Rose, who tore his ACL in the final minutes of game one and is out for the playoffs and beyond. Philadelphia seriously shifted the momentum with a 109-92 win in the Windy City, and the Bulls confidence might just be shaken enough that the eigth seeded Sixers could pull this series off. When Paul Pierce Speaks…(VIDEO)
He speaks well and with authority!
I'll admit it. I was one of the many in the blogo-sphere that was ready to write the aging Boston Celtics off earlier this season. I am now happy to admit I was wrong. Thanks to a couple of injuries to Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, the Celtics are going to have a pretty easy semi-final round against the Philadelphia 76ers.
This series is likely to go pretty quick, and I'd expect many more highlights like this in the near future. Paul Pierce gave us this gem last night as his first basket of the game en route to a 24 point, 12 rebound game and a 107-91 win.
