The Only Movie Re-Releases To Actually Care About

It seems like originality is well and truly dead in cinema. Either we're watching a superhero movie that revolves around a character we've spent 60 years reading about or a not so subtle rehash of a bona-fide classic or a sequel or the fifth installment of a franchise we stopped caring about after the third movie.

But don't worry, 3D is here to save the day and revamp our favourite movies to the point that they come out of the screen and we can practically get slapped by our favourite characters.

Over the next few weeks, months and years there are plenty of classic cinematic treats for us to get very excited over. Whether you're a nerd, child or adult, it doesn't matter there's a whole hoard of films to choose from. Here are some movie re-releases that are set to be on our screens, again.

How Will Sacha Baron Cohen’s James Bond Spoof Compare To These Other 007 Rip-Offs

Sacha Baron Cohen has become one of the most popular comedians in the world with his brand of mockumentary ridicule to unsuspecting souls. Some find it cruel others find it hilarious, it's probably somewhere in the middle. But it seems like SBC is setting his sights on a new target in the form of James Bond as he teams up with the boringly named Phil Johnston who wrote the 2011 comedy Cedar Rapids.

Apparently their tale will revolve around a secret agent who is forced to go on the run with his football hooligan brother but it isn't the first time that 007 has been pastiched before, with Hollywood often spoofing the English spy.

Here's a list of cinematic homages to the world's deadliest spy.

Bond Girl Naomie Harris Talks About What She Does and Doesn’t Reveal on ‘Skyfall’

Given their track record, you'd think that the directors of every Bond movie would sneak in at least one scene that would have each Bond girl bare it all. However, what Harris does reveal is a behind-the-scenes look at what it means to be a Bond girl and how her field agent, Eve, deals with the masterful James Bond.

Those of you who aren't excited by the return of a certain 007 British agent should probably recognise that the medium of cinema is not for them. 007 to Open 2012 Summer Olympics

I have never been interested in watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics. It’s all pomp and circumstance, flag waving, hand waving, and something that is supposed to be entertainment. I’m totally cool with catching the highlights of them on Sportscenter.

However, this summer when the Games kickoff in London on July 27 I will have to watch.
