The Dictator doesn't hit theaters until a few more weeks, so the folks behind the movie cooked up this free app for iOS that lets players get a taste of what it's like to be General Aladeen.

Aladeen is the Wadiyan dictator that Sacha Baron Cohen portrays on the big screen. Players take on the role of the General as they compete in four of his events: running, boxing, swimming, and fencing.

Egotastic Videos Not Playing? Here’s How to Watch Flash Videos on Your iPad and iPhone

(Editor's note: we are currently working on a complete mobile solution for the site which will address the issue of video plays on iOS devices; additionally, we are working on a short term fix on the site itself that should allow for a secondary link for iPad and iPhone devices. However, since our team of indentured child laborers move at their own pace, check out this article from our own Hazel Chua below on how to get Flash-based videos to run on your Mac mobile devices. It will rock your world.)

Steve Jobs was never a huge fan of Flash. In fact, he hated it and wasn't afraid to let the whole world know the extent of his loathing. That said, you can pretty much conclude that Apple won't be adding support for Flash videos to their devices anytime soon.

So if you were wondering why some current videos on Egotastic! aren't playing on your iPad or iPhone, then now you know. The good news is that there are a few quick fixes you can use to play Flash clips on your phone or tablet without having to jailbreak it:

‘Girls Around Me’ App that Lets Stalkers Stalk Girls is Pulled from Apple’s App Store

Did you know that there are close to half a million apps in the iTunes App Store today? These range from productivity apps to games to image editing apps and so on and so forth. It's hard to distinguish specific apps in this huge and diverse pool unless it's extremely good--or extremely weird. One app that belongs to the latter category is Girls Around Me.

If you look at it in the positive sense, Girls Around Me can be used to meet new acquaintances, both men and women, who happen to be around the area where you're currently hanging out. In the negative sense, the app can be seen as a tool that potential stalkers and date rapists can use to prey on unsuspecting victims who may just be out looking to have a good time.

Report: Apple’s Next iPhone to Sport a Bigger 4.6-inch Display

Apple might have heard its share of complaints from users with regards to issues on its just released new iPad (I still don't get why they didn't just name it the iPad 3): first, because it was literally too hot to handle, and second, because it had a fibbing battery charge indicator.

In typical Apple fashion, the company waved off the first of the complaints, stating that the new iPad's operating temperature was well within their thermal specifications. They kept mum on the second assertion though, maybe because they didn't think it was that important and probably because someone else looked into it (see this article) and presented his findings to the concerned iPad users.

Blow Apps Up, Summon the Undead and More with iPhoneception (VIDEO)

iPhoneception
Watch Video

Inception blew the minds of most people who watched it in the theater. It made members of the audience disoriented by the time the credits rolled, because a few thoughts had managed to creep their way into their heads: What if they were just dreaming? What if they had been watching the movie in their dreams and were part of some elaborate plot to take over the world?

Of course, none of us who were watching that movie was dreaming, although it made doing normal stuff seem pretty surreal afterwards. And in an attempt to make people feel as if they were losing their grip on reality (although on a smaller scale), the iPhoneception project was born.

i4Siri Free Proxy Lets You Summon Siri Without an iPhone 4S

iPhones aren't the cheapest phones in the market. iPhone 4S prices start at $199 if you buy them with a two-year contract, and $649 if you'll be getting an unlocked unit without the contract. That said, it wouldn't make sense to purchase the newest iPhone if you've already got an older iPhone that still works perfectly.

One of the main selling points of the iPhone 4S is Siri. In case you haven't heard, Siri is a voice-activated personal assistant application that only comes with the 4S. You can instruct Siri to perform tasks, schedule events in your calendar, or look up information for you, all with the use of simple voice commands. Siri even has her own following, some of which came up with an iPhone case to "honor" her (see related article here.)
