Gregg Williams, the former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator, told his team the night before a playoff game with the San Francisco 49ers to 'kill the f'ing head, and the body will die.'

Williams has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for running a bounty program that paid cash to players for taking opposing players out of games with vicious hits. Because you know, that never happens unless guys making millions of dollars a year are promised an extra few thousand.

BREAKING: NFL Suspends Saints’ Head Coach Sean Payton For Season

The NFL has just laid the hammer down, suspending New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton for the entire next season for the illegal bounty program that the Saints were running.

Gregg Williams, the defensive coordinator who ran the program that rewarded players financially for taking opposing players out of games, has been suspended indefinitely by the league. The Saints also lose a pick in the next two drafts and were fined half a million dollars.

The suspension is without pay, according to Jay Glazer, which means Payton will lose out on about 8 million dollars in salary. Ouch.

Really people? As the guys on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown would say: Come on man!

In case you haven’t heard, Gregg Williams, former defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints and current DC for the St. Louis Rams, has admitted to allegations that he administered a bounty system while with the Saints. There is reason to believe that this is not the first time that Williams has been a part of such a thing; he may have done something similar in Washington, Tennessee, and Buffalo.

While you can almost guarantee that the man will get sanctioned by the NFL there is talk that he could be find himself in court over this whole mess. This feels like an appropriate time to say it again: Come on man!

Apparently wherever Greg Williams goes the defensive players do not get paid enough so in order to supplement the million dollar salaries of his players he places bounties on opposing players.

Don’t worry if your first thought to that sentence is something like ‘WTF?’ You’re not alone.
