Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has already begun its box office reign overseas, but we finally get to see it this weekend here in the States. What better time than now to revisit what is arguably the worst entry in the series thus far, 2001's Jurassic Park III, with a funny new Honest Trailer for the film from the good folks over at Screen Junkies.
JPIII has a lot of problems, and they only scratch the surface with this one, though such is the fatal flaw of the format. You'd need at least an hour to really dig into the issues with Joe Johnston's one and only directorial effort in the franchise.
Obviously the talking Velociraptor is the most frequently cited bit of awfulness in this flick, but having done a series rewatch recently, I can aver that it's merely one of at least a dozen irredeemable moments in this awful, awful film. Granted The Lost World's not much better, but at least that's got Jeff Goldblum and is directed by Spielberg. This one's got neither of those, and it's a markedly worse film as a result.
If you want my honest opinion, if you're thinking about a series rewatch before Fallen Kingdom, just watch the original and Jurassic World. Pretend those middle sequels don't even exist.
