Following in the footsteps of lesser known entertainers not even thirty and penning memoirs, the Latina cheerleader from Glee is coming out with her autobiography, Sorry Not Sorry. Which is it? Sounds intriguing.
The key to these book deals is providing the publisher headline worthy excerpts of previously undisclosed personal experiences, Naya Rivera disclosed that she had an abortion on a day off from shooting Glee. She had recently broken up with her boyfriend then discovered she was pregnant with his baby and, you know, fuck that shit. Not quite as riveting as Mark Salling distributing child porn or Dead Cory Monteith offing himself in a Canadian hotel, but that show's cast was rather eclectic.
It’s not something a lot of people talk about, but I think they should. I know some people might read it and say, ‘What the Hell?’ But I hope someone out there gets something out of it.
You should've explored the reasoning behind that 'not many people talk about it' part. Rivera doubled down with a claim of being anorexic as a young teen in response to her parents splitting up. She wasn't yet in the position to get an abortion, so she stopped eating instead. Her lack of date rape allegations is concerning. The whole thing is starting to sound fake.
Look for people to reading Sorry Not Sorry on holiday this winter. Be sure to kick them in the teeth. This only gets better when we start self-policing.
