Baseball is widely considered America's pastime, much like apple pie (not American) or stealing land (so American). So it should come as no surprise that there are plenty of baseball movies in the archives of cinema. And for the most part, Hollywood has done a pretty good job on this sport, mixing true tales with fictionalized stories, and comedy with drama.
