Hershel Doesn’t Paint an Optimistic Picture in the New ‘Walking Dead’ Trailer (VIDEO)

There's a new trailer for The Walking Dead, and it seems to shed a little more light on the plot for season four. When I say 'a little more light,' I do mean a little. After all, you can't glean too much info from 16 seconds of vague footage.

As we know from previous trailers, Rick and the crew are still held up at the prison, and they've refortified since The Governor's attack. But it seems as if those fortifications might not be enough, at least according to Hershel's ominous voice over: 'Everything we've been working so hard to keep out just found it's way in.'

Yikes! That doesn't sound good at all. What could he be referring to? Bedbugs? Black mold? The undead hordes? I guess we'll just have to tune in and find out.

At any rate, I was very surprised to see that this promo didn't feature Flame, the anti-zombie equine. They've been pushing him pretty hard. Perhaps AMC got tired of paying for all his oats and sent him to the glue factory.

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, October 13th.
