Damian Lillard of Portland is making a strong case for the NBA Rookie of the Year. Lillard is averaging 18.8 points and 6.3 assists so far, and has led the Trailblazers to a current three game win streak. In 23 games, Lillard has only been held under double digits scoring twice, and in those two games he had 8 and 9 points.
Last night in Portland, Lillard and the Blazers welcomed New Orleans and number one overall pick Anthony Davis into the building. With the game knotted at 92 with 4.2 seconds left, Lillard inbounded the ball, got it right back, did a little crossover and drained the three at the buzzer for the win.
