Chris Brown Warning Label Prank Makes Us Crave These Other Album Warning Labels

Some jokester at an HMV record store (remember those?) in England went up to the Chris Brown section and as a prank, put stickers on the album cover warning prospective buyers that they shouldn't buy the album because the singer and performer had beaten Rihanna when the two were dating. And in this weird topsy-turvy world we live in, the prank apparently has actually helped move units of the album.

First of all, who would pay ten pounds for a CD? And who would pay fifteen for two copies of the same Chris Brown album? Is that incase I want to burn it with a lighter more than once? But hey, people dig the guy and no matter what you think the man, he's still as popular as ever.

And second of all, how did this go unnoticed in a record store? How many customers do they get a day? Two? Three? You figured every employee in the store would bum rush any customer they saw in hopes of getting them to spend money there instead of illegally downloading it from a torrent legally purchasing it from an online digital retailer of music.

Are personalized warning labels on album covers a good idea? Check out the gallery for album cover warnings we actually want to see.
