Amber Heard Shares Behind the Scenes Pic From Set of ‘Aquaman’

It would be something of an understatement to say that most news about Amber Heard of late hasn't been very positive thanks to her very public feud with ex-husband Johnny Depp, but here's something decidedly less negative. The actress posted this pic from the set of James Wan's Aquaman showing her alongside her director and co-star Jason Momoa, and sporting some shockingly bright red hair. 

In case you weren't aware, Heard has been cast as Mera—Aquaman's wife in the comics—and will debut the character in November's Justice League. In the comics, Mera is a total badass and there's no reason to think that her screen representation wouldn't also be a badass, especially with Heard in the role. I suppose the big news here is that there will be at least one scene in the film that isn't underwater. Not exactly breaking news, but something nevertheless.

I'm sure no one is more eager than Heard herself for people to associate her with something other than Johnny Depp, so hopefully her time spent under the sea with Momoa will help expedite that process. We'll find out for sure when she appears in Justice League, which opens on November 17, 2017, followed by Aquaman on December 21, 2018.
