I don't understand the need some people feel (in this case, the House of Solid Gold) when it comes to covering relatively affordable stuff with sold gold to shoot its value through the roof. Case in point: this $1 million bicycle that's covered in 24K gold. These are dubbed as the Beverly Hills Edition bikes, and aside from being covered in gold, it's also showered with gems and bling that'll make the queen's crown look modest.

Specifically, we're talking about 600 black diamonds and 500 golden sapphires. The seat itself is pretty tricked out, being covered in alligator skin and all.

A total of 12 were made and they cost a million a piece. Any takers?
