There are a few interesting, but unconfirmed reports floating around about Terminator 5. If these rumors prove true, this will be a day long remembered in the annals of fictitious-killer-robot history.

Rumor one involves Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson joining the cast. Although he is yet to sign on, producers are supposedly in talks with Johnson, who is currently filming Hercules in Hungry. Pairing The Rock with Arnold Schwarzenegger would surely create a fanboy wet dream. My advice: Buy stock in Fruit of the Loom®.

Rumor two involves the actual plot of the film. Terminator Salvation, which was pretty disappointing, took place in the future. So producers are reportedly pulling a Costanza and doing the opposite by setting the film in the 1940's, where the Terminators will target John Connor's grandparents. It's a cool idea, but part of me wonders why the machines don't simply go back to early human history and destroy us before we have the chance to start a civilization. But then again, if the machines disrupt history in a major way, humans will never build them in the first place.

And that's why I didn't get laid in high school.
