The huge NFC matchup for Monday night featuring the 7-2 Bears meeting up with the 6-2-1 (nice tie) 49ers in San Francisco won't have Jay Cutler. Following his concussion last week, Jay has been ruled out of Monday's game, but San Francisco is expecting AlexSmith to play even though he also suffered a concussion.

Bears fans have to be hoping this is just a one game thing for Cutler. Last season, Cutler went down went with fractured thumb during a week 11 win, then the Bears lost five straight and missed the playoffs. That also sealed backup quarterback Caleb Hanie's fate as Cutler's relief, and the Bears brought in Jason Campbell. Now they're going to find out if Campbell, a former first round pick who has 70 starts under his belt, can keep the team together. He's definitely an upgrade from Hanie.
