Dwayne Bowe signed his franchise tender today, and will return to the practice field with the Kansas City Chiefs. Bowe was holding out after being franchise tagged. Bowe will make around $9.6 million for this season. He should have done it sooner, but he was probably in no hurry to get to training camp either.

The New England Patriots have signed Olympic sprinter Jeff Demps. The former Florida Gator ran for 569 yards last season, then began training for the Olympics and wasn't drafted.

The Miami Dolphins are going to start rookie QB Ryan Tannehill in tonight's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Tannehill was sharp in the Phins' first game, guiding the team to its only touchdown, which he threw to Charles Clay.
