Japanese scientists have created a robot that wins at rock, paper, scissors 100% of the time. We all know by now that if we don't die in a zombocalypse, or are killed by a Mayan dragon, we'll all die when the robots rise up and destroy the human race. Though the AI that can play chess or suggest what porn videos you might like is increasingly sophisticated, robots aren't sentient...yet. It seems that the Japanese are dead set on making this happen. I'm not sure why. Maybe they don't think robots are a threat and they would rather concentrate on preventing Godzilla attacks.

This robot plays rock, paper, scissors. Cute right? No. It wins all the time. The reason is that it uses a series of high powered cameras and sensors to anticipate your movements. It can tell by a slight twitch in your hand that you'll play rock, for example. The problem with this is that if the robot can predict your actions in a simple game, would could it do in a war? When the robots rise the last thing we want is for them to be able to anticipate our moves. The only thing you can hope for is that you can distract it with the game long enough to stop it. It's the War Games with Matthew Broderick tactic.
