Xbox Drops An Awesome Games with Gold Lineup You’ll Want to Be a Part of This April

  Well, huh. Color my ass pleasantly surprised.  

You know how it is with the monthly crop of Games with Gold and PS Plus titles. As my dear ol’ pa used to say, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Buy cheap, buy twice, and all that stuff. If it’s free, it’s going to be shit, is what he was essentially getting at there. It’s often the case here.

Maybe I’m just a cynical old bastard too, but it seems that the games we’re offered generally fall into one of two categories: Either niche indie weirdness or good, AAA games that are far too old for anyone to still care about. But occasionally, when someone over Sony/Microsoft way gets laid and they’re feeling all shiny and happy and generous, great things happen.

April’s Games with Gold being a case in point. This is the best selection we’ve seen in a long damn time. Let’s check it out.

On Xbox One, The Wolf Among Us is available all month long. It’s joined by the pretty badass exclusive Sunset Overdrive, from April 16 to May 15.

Over on the 360, your choices are awesome Resident Evil 4-ish survival horror shooter Dead Space (April 1-15) and Saints Row 4 (April 16-30). Pretty damn nice all round, I’d say.
