Super Mario Brothers Directed By Martin Scorsese

One of the worst movies ever created has got to be the abomination known as The Super Mario Bros. The movie, starring Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, and for some reason Dennis Hopper, was universally panned by critics and fans of the video game alike. That's because it is the cinematic equivalent of being kicked in the balls. A lot of it has to do with the hack script but also much of the blame has to land on the shoulders of the director. A bad director will lead to a bad movie every time. But what if a really good director took the story of two Italian brothers jumping through pipes to save a princess and made it his own?

Perhaps Martin Scorsese? This animated short gives us an idea of what the master of the mob movie could do with The Super Mario Bros.
