Back in the days of Halo: Combat Evolved, Bungie’s baby was the biggest name in sci-fi, futuristic shooters. It was for quite a while, the whole thing being pretty damn novel then. Nowadays, things are a little different.

As FPS players will know, just about every bastard’s getting in on the whole spacetastic shooter thing. The spangly new Doom reboot got a lot of flak for being ‘too Halo.’ For the same reason, the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare reveal trailer was almost as disliked on Youtube as the music video for Justin Bieber’s Baby. When you’re as hated as freaking Bieber, you’ve got a problem right there.

Still. Despite all this competition, and the general unhappiness with the post-Bungie Halo titles, this franchise will not and shall not die. Ever. The five billion dollars the series is worth says so.

‘In advance of the Licensing Expo 2016, a consumer products industry convention running from June 21 to 23, 343 Industries is excited to announce new global licensed partners coming to Halo, bringing exciting new Halo-themed products for years to come,’ Xbox Wire tells us. Are you ready to be excited by Halo-themed products? You’d better be, because there’s goddamn merchandise-amundo coming our way.

New licensees include Jada Toys, Think Geek and Wicked Replicas, and they’re set to bring us everything from big ol’ Bluetooth speakers in the shape of Halo characters to novelty sunglasses. No images yet, but you can take a look at the full lineup back at the Wire.
