If there is anyone that can stop the roll that the San Antonio Spurs are on this post season it is the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, fans will have to wait until Game Two Tuesday night to see if the Thunder will be able to.
Kevin Durant and company appeared to have the game in hand late, but Manu Ginobili and the rest of the Spurs had another idea. Down by nine early in the final period, the Spurs offense absolutely exploded going on a 13-1 run to overtake the lead for good with just over six minutes to play.
They went on to outdo their output from the previous two quarters (22 and 16) by scoring 39 to steal Game One of the Western Conference Finals 101-98. The win gave the Spurs 19 in a row dating back to the regular season, and in a tie for longest streak that continued into the playoffs (2001 Lakers).
Manu Ginobili led the way with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists followed by Tim Duncan who had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Two of those points came after he put an awesome fake on Kevin Durant. I think Durant might still be looking for the guy Ginobili was going to pass to. Maybe he'll find him when the two teams met in Game Two Tuesday night.
