The New York Jets are having a nearly unprecedented preseason. According to NBC, they have become just the second team since the 1977 Atlanta Falcons to have not scored a touchdown through three preseason games. After last night's 17-12 loss to the Carolina Panthers, the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets have been held to seven field goals. Way to go.

What's the problem in New York? There are plenty. First and foremost, they brought in Tim Tebow. For all the good that he can bring a team, like a solid work ethic, positive attitude and great character, he also brings quadruple the media coverage. That's a problem because Mark Sanchez has shown he can be a little too sensitive, and when the backup QB is getting all the attention, that's got to be a hit to his ego. Getting called Tim probably doesn't help either.

The Jets also have a new offensive coordinator in former Dolphins head coach, Tony Sparano. Some have speculated that the Jets are keeping their new playbook under wraps during the preseason so they can have an advantage once the season starts. Here's their plan - run the ball. It's not a big secret that Sparano favors the ground game, so why not work on it while you can in the preseason?

Even then, shouldn't they be able to at least get down the field once and punch it in the end zone? They're an NFL team, supposedly, and yet haven't been able to generate at least one drive that gets them 6 points through 12 quarters.

The Jets are in big trouble. There will be plenty of blame to go around, so that will help. Unless some of it goes towards Sanchez, because then he'll sulk, go into a bigger funk and then the team will have no choice but to start Tebow. ESPN won't know what to do with themselves once that happens.
