A few weeks ago we saw Star Trek: Into Darkness being used to sell Audis. Now Man of Steel is being used to sell burgers.

Apparently nerds have a lot more disposable income than I realized. With Man of Steel just a few more weeks away, Warner Brothers has gotten together with Hardees/Carls Jr. to produce a new ad for their "Super" Bacon Thickburger that features union construction workers doing what they do best: taking a lunch break.

BURN!

Anyway, the new Hardees/Carls Jr. spot featuring Henry Cavill in his underwear-free Superman outfit has the Spock vs. Spock Audi ad beat in one crucial aspect: it's actually directed by Zack Snyder, the guy behind the upcoming superflick. Check and mate, J.J. Abrams.
