One of 2015's greatest video games was Star Wars Battlefront, a reboot of the much beloved game franchise of the mid-aughts. If it suffered from anything at all, it was a lack of content, with most seasoned gamers getting through everything the game had to offer in a few hours. Well, EA is looking to fix that with the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II, which this new trailer demonstrates.
The sheer number of cool things in this trailer are enough to get any Star Wars fanboy drooling, from the lightsaber showdown between Yoda and Darth Maul to the sight of Boba Fett making quick work of some Jedis. Like most people, I can't really stand the prequels, but the action taking place in Naboo in the trailer is more in line with what I hoped those prequel movies would have been like. I know it's been said before, but perhaps this property can redeem those prequels in some way, shape, or form.
Sadly we have to wait until November 15 to get our grubby hands on this thing, but according to the trailer, those who preorder the game can unlock Beta versions of some levels, which is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. Either way, this will nicely fill the thirty day gap between its release and the release of The Last Jedi on December 15. Man, the end of the year can't get here fast enough!
