It seems almost impossible to believe, but we're only seven weeks away from the biggest movie event in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War. This new trailer for the film is full of so many moments where you want to elbow nudge the person sitting next to you, it's outrageous. That last shot of Cap holding off Thanos... holy crap, I think I'm starting to get excited for this movie.
I rewatched Captain America: Civil War last night in preparation for finally seeing Black Panther tonight, and I was struck by how much down time there was in that movie. I remembered it moving a lot faster, but it felt like an eternity watching it again. I doubt Infinity War will have this same problem, as it looks like they're cramming an awful lot of movie into just north and two and a half hours.
So yeah, a lot more scope in this trailer. It really shows off the size of the battle we're in for, I just hope that years of world-ending threats averted at the last second doesn't make all this destruction just seem like noise before an inevitable conclusion. We'll all find out seven weeks from today.
