When last we heard, former Doctor Whom Matt Smith and his gigantic head were going over to the Star Wars franchise with a role in Episode IX, potentially with his head being the new Starkiller base. Now the lanky Brit is making the leap over to Marvel, but not good Marvel, sadly. He's going over to Sony's Marvel Universe which includes characters from Spider-Man comics without Spider or Man in their names.

No, according to Variety, Smith is joining Jared Leto in the cast of Morbius: The Living Vampire, in what's being described as a "lead role." Back in October, we told you that there was going to be a newly created nemesis squaring off with Leto's Morbius in the film and he goes by the name Loxias Crown. Look at that picture of Matt Smith up there and tell me you don't think that's exactly who he's playing.

Sidebar, if I were Mike Myers, I would follow Matt Smith everywhere he goes, doing this routine...

Oh I kid Matt Smith, I'm just jealous that you're dating my Downton crush Lily James. In fact, ever since I saw her naked in The Exception, I've really grown quite envious of you. Anyways, best of luck dealing with Leto mailing you vials of HIV+ blood and capuchin monkeys with ebola or whatever other crazy shit he's gonna do because he's a vampire.
