Mastermind Of The Day: Amy Sharp – The Vain Escapee

In honor of the wayward criminals of the comedy, Masterminds, in theaters September 30, we're taking a look at some of our world's most inept, clumsy, and dumb-ass criminals.

People rarely look good in their mugshots. Usually they look terrible. After all getting arrested is a low point for most people and you are usually in the midst of doing some bad stuff. So, even someone who is relatively attractive has the problem of looking like a slob in their mugshot. This is what happened to Amy Smart. She's a cute girl in Australia who was locked up for "property offenses"...whatever that means. She then escaped from jail and was on the lamb. The cops put out a bulletin on the news and posters around town of her mugshot to try and apprehend her. But she pretty much gave them her location when she went to the police Facebook page that had a posting of her mugshot and asked them to please use a more flattering pic of her instead. The cops found her immediately after.

They say that pride is the worst of the seven deadly sins, and Amy would probably agree with that now. To be fair, her mugshot is terrible. She's dressed in sweats and a blanket. Not a good look. Still, I think if it were me I'd just let it go and make my way to New Zealand or whatever.
