Gillian Anderson Returns as Scully for Ten New ‘X-Files’ Episodes

Everyone's favorite red-headed skeptic is back! Gillian Anderson has officially signed on to join co-star David Duchovny in another ten episode arc of The X-Files, set to debut sometime during the 2017-2018 television season that begins later this summer.  The smart money's on the show airing in late January and early February as it did when it returned for a tenth season in 2016. While I'm obviously excited that one of my favorite television shows is coming back on the air for another season, I'm more excited about spending ten more hours in the company of Agent Scully. Like many men who came of age in the early 90s, Agent Scully was a geek's dream come true, and Gillian Anderson embodied everything we wanted in a partner. Loyalty, devotion, red hair, a small mole above her lips, looked great in a business suit, looked even better out of one. She's just the total package. 

And speaking of the total package, don't hold your breath for this to be released before the end of the year. I can guarantee you, though, that Gillian Anderson will look better than ever. Maybe even better than she did in your old Agent Scully fantasies.
