Oscar nominated actress Florence Pugh took part in a piece by Vogue Magazine called “Postcards From Home” along with other celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Sienna Miller. The stars are talking about life in lockdown and sending in photos of them around their homes.
Florence said that she was feeling down at the beginning of the quarantine, but was inspired to start using her backyard vegetable garden and how it has improved her spirit, among other things like dancing and being silly.
“For the first few days I felt low. Then my dad reminded me that I needed to dance and I needed to cook and I needed to do all of the things that make me happy. I instantly started shimmying and boogying in the morning and I felt so much happier and just..bubbly all day”
She’s been cooking up dishes using her own vegetables and herbs, like this soup. I assume her boyfriend Zach Braff took the photos for her and later enjoyed the homemade vegetable soup.
“I’ve also turned toward chopping and cooking and flavours. I have this vegetable patch that I put in in autumn of last year, so thats where I’m getting all my cabbages and my leeks and my elephant garlics!”
*Can confirm backyard elephant garlic is incredible.
