#BetterBatmanSuperman Takes Twitter by Storm Thanks to ‘@Midnight’

I don't know what in the hell a field day is, exactly, but yesterday the internet had one when Warner Bros. announced that the official title of the upcoming Batman-Superman movie is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Interestingly enough, however, the internet's reaction to the news didn't really take focus until it got some direction from a television show. (Take that, new media!) That show was Comedy Central's @midnight, which created the hashtag #BetterBatmanSuperman for their #HashtagWars segment and had comedians Matt Jones, Whitney Cummings, and Moshe Kasher do battle to see who could come up with the best (satirical) new title for the upcoming flick staring the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.

Personally, my favorite was Batman v Superman: At Least Our Director Didn't Molest Anyone, because I like inappropriate jokes. (That's a reference to X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer, by the way.) However, as soon as the segment was over, Twittererz took over and came up with their own amazing suggestions.
