Thom Yorke Shares a Sample of His Upcoming ‘Suspiria’ Score on Twitter (VIDEO)

The upcoming remake of Dario Argento's Suspiria has a number of aces up its sleeve that make it difficult to dismiss outright. Chief among them is the fact that Thom Yorke is doing his first film soundtrack, following in the footsteps of fellow Radiohead bandmate Johnny Greenwood, whose collaborations with Paul Thomas Anderson earned both of them Oscar nominations for last year's Phantom Thread.

Yorke has released a snippet of the new soundtrack via his official Twitter account, and it's appropriately Thom Yorke-ish...

It's dance music, appropriately enough given the film's subject matter, but it sounds like something concocted by the Radiohead frontman.

For those that may not know, the original Suspiria's score was done by Goblin, an Italian prog-rock band who did scores for several of Argento's films. Perhaps Yorke and remake director Luca Guadanino could have a working relationship similar to both their forebears, as well as Yorke's bandmate Greenwood and P.T. Anderson.

I really want to see this flick, but that two and a half hour running time feels daunting, and borderline overkill—not unlike last year's expansive Blade Runner 2049, which even its staunchest defenders must admit was at least twenty minutes too long. I'll kick myself if I don't see it in the theater, though, which is why I dragged my ass to that flick.

Suspiria hits theaters on November 2.
