You may --may-- have heard of the ball-busting blockbuster that is Grand Theft Auto V. It's much ballyhooed as the game that will send the current generation of consoles out with a vast, glorious and violently drug-dealy bang.

It's all so dramatic that, as release day arrived, we shat a little.

One or two people have been rather keen to play it, we hear. As we speak, you may be suffering from a sudden (and fictional) bout of smallpox, which renders you unable to haul your ass to work for a week or so as the wonderment of Los Santos unfolds around you. But however excited we've all been for the game, it's safe to say that nobody has considered bashing someone in their actual real life face with a brick and stealing their copy.

Except for this bunch of bastards. The Telegraph brings us one nasty incident from Merry Old England, in which a fan returning home from a midnight launch in London was set upon. The report states, "A 23-year-old man was shopping, then on his way back home he was hit with a brick and stabbed. He was robbed of items he had bought from a nearby Asda supermarket, including a copy of Grand Theft Auto."

Details of the remaining stolen ‘items' weren't disclosed, but the target is all too clear. After all, Asda's donuts are rather taste-tacular, but they really don't warrant a brick attack. The victim was hospitalized and is now stable, but the thieves certainly aren't.
