Bad Robot’s ‘Stranger’ Trailer Will Make You Question Your Entire Existence (VIDEO)

Woah. So, J. J. Abrams is doing his whole J. J. Abrams thing again with a mystery trailer. Check it.

What the hell is it!? It could be this whole Zanbato thing they've been talking about? It could be The Crow? It's probably not The Crow. It's definitely not Star Wars. Unless that's a reborn Emperor Palpatine showing up on some strange shore?
Abrams just acquired Rod Serling's mysterious last script The Stop Along the Way in June. But it seems way too soon to be pushing out teasers for something like that.

The trailer opens with some black and white goodness and then the voiceover goes like this:

He arrived knowing nothing of himself. Who is he? Soon he will know. Because what begins at the water shall end there. And what ends at the water, shall begin again.

And then a dude with a stitched up mouth appears. It tells us nothing. It shows us little. It reminds us, 'Men are erased and reborn.' Indeed they are. But what men? Erased from what? And where? Goddamnit.
