So just how bad was The Lone Ranger? So bad, apparently, that it has caused Johnny Depp to take a step back and ask, 'Jesus Christ, what the hell am I doing with my life?'

Depp stopped by the London studio of BBC Breakfast this morning to promote Disney's monumental failure, and when asked whether there was still a 'danger' of him giving up acting, Edward Scissorhands had this to day:

At a certain point you start thinking, when you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, and you realize that you've said written words more than you've had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking about that as a kind of insane option for a human being. Are there quieter things that I wouldn't mind doing? You know, yeah. I wouldn't mind that. I wouldn't say that I'm dropping out any second but I would say that it's probably not too far away.

Now, in fairness, it's probably not just the epic Lone Ranger crapstorm that got Johnny Depp examining his life. His resume over the last ten years includes four Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Alice in Wonderland, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and that's probably enough to make any actor at least think about hanging it up.

However, you JD fans need not be too concerned. Well, you should be concerned about the types of movies he is making, but not about him vanishing from the silver screen. Dude currently has another five movies in the works, including Pirates 5 and Alice 2, and those will take us through 2016 at least.

Phew.
