Breaking News: Your Balls Have Tastebuds.

Uh, so this is awkward. Remember all those times you took the Icy Hot Challenge, or, y'know, tea-bagged anything at all? It turns out that  you may have been doing some serious damage to your...taste buds.

What? Yeah.

This just in from Science: Your balls have taste buds. Fine, the study discovered that other parts of our bodies have them, too -- but nads are funny. Look, dudes, don't ask us what that's all about or even how one could take advantage of such a fascinating factoid. Business Insider, who reported on the discovery, also reported that science can't explain that the how's or why's either. Some scientist said:

[The] function of taste receptors and signaling proteins outside of taste system is still unclear... [in some areas] they seem to be part of the chemical sensing of sugars or amino acids...For the most part, though, full function of these extra-orally located taste receptors is unknown.

I guess that changes nothing about anything. Just maybe wash that jock strap a little bit more often? I dunno, our minds are still blown over here.
